On the Pitch ⚽️🥅
On Monday evening, our U14 boys Town 2 team had a comfortable win away to Castlerea. Samuel Godfrey, Alex Moore, Jonathan Greene, Dominic Jacob and Daniel Byrne netted for the Town. On Tuesday evening, Town 2 12s lost in Lecarrow. Town 1 won at home to Glen Celtic. Ryen Dolan (2), Donnchadh Hession and Taylor O’Toole scored the goals. On Wednesday evening, our U12 girls team played away to Glen Celtic. Mia Ryan and Amelia Bury scored for the Town girls but Glen secured the three points. The boys U11s have matches on Friday evening. Town 1 are at home to Cloonfad. Town 2 and 3 are away to Skyvalley and Moore, respectively. The U11 blitz has been postponed and will now take place at the end of the month. Our boys and girls U16 and U18 teams return to competitive action next week after the exam break.
Nutrition Night 🍎🍓
After a successful event last year, chef Atila Tavares will again host a Nutrition Night in the club. Players and parents from selected boys and squads will be invited to attend. There will be information, a demonstration and tasting on the evening. The key focus of the event is making positive food choices to support one’s health and improve physical performance.
Thanks to Chef Atila for taking the time to share his expertise.
