On the Pitch ⚽️🥅
Our boys U18 team were in Castlerea yesterday evening (Saturday). Jonathan Ben Martin put Town ahead but two set pieces saw the home team prevail. Our Town 1 U12 team beat Shiven on penalties to progress to the Shield quarterfinal. Sean Keane made crucial penalty saves in the shootout. On Friday evening, our Town 1 EL side beat Strokestown. Town welcomed back Darren Jigo and Conor Conlon who had great games while Colin Hamrock and Cillian Belton formed a great partnership at the back. Our CL 2 team came from behind to beat Dysart. Marc Hanley got the winner with time almost up.
At the start of the week, all three of our boys U14 teams had games. Town 1 won on penalties in Ballinagare. 📸 They now face Ballaghaderreen away in the Shield quarterfinal. Town 2 and 3 lost out away to Ballaghaderreen and Castlerea, respectively.
On Tuesday, our Town 2 boys U12 team hosted Glen Celtic in the Cup quarterfinal and came from a goal down to win 4-1. Sean Carthy scored a brace while Erik Malec Hannon and Sean Hannon also netted. Justinas Jurgaitis did well in the Town goal making a number of good saves in the first half especially. 📸 Town 3 lost out to Lough Harps in Ballinlough.
On Thursday evening, the boys U16 Town 1 side welcomed Skyvalley to Lisnamult in the Cup semifinal and it was the visitors who secured the win in the final quarter against a young Town team. 📸
TG4 Club Areina 🎥
We are participating in the Club Areina series on TG4. The players who are participating are a credit to their families and our visitors are impressed with the standard of Irish, attitude and enthusiasm of the children – boys and girls from our U11 and U12 teams. It should be a positive experience for all – players, parents, coaches and everyone associated with the club. Go n-eiri an t-adh leat!
Sejam todos bem vindos 👍🇧🇷
