On the Pitch ⚽️🥅
U18
Our U18 boys team lost at home to Moylough. As in previous games, they had many chances but couldn’t convert. After conceding three sloppy goals, Leo Anic and Craig Glennon brought the lads close but Moylough held on. The final league match is away to CP Ajax on Saturday evening.
The team have done well this season and will have learnt a lot, especially the large U16 contingent in the squad. After Saturday, attention turns to the Divisional Cup.
U16
Our girls U16 team lost away to Dunmore with Vitoria Duarte scoring for Town. Our Town 1 U16 team finished second in the Premier Division. In their penultimate match, they were beaten by Castlerea. The win saw Castlerea claim the title. Our two boys teams now await the Divisional Cup draws.
U14
Our Rovers U14 side finished joint top of the Premier Division after easily beating St John’s 5-1 on Monday evening. Aaron Miley scored three and Eoin Naughten netted two. Town dropped points in recent away matches as absences hindered the team. We will play Dunmore in the league title playoff in the coming weeks. Star Player – Dara Kelleher
Our Atletico side secured the points away to Glen Celtic. Yurii Shumyhora and Jonathas Borges scored for the lads as they finished their league campaign on a high. Star Player – Coman Campbell
