Cup Finals ?
Town had two teams in finals in Newbridge last weekend.
Our boys team overcame Dunmore in the U14 decider. Eoin Naughten continued his scoring spree by putting Town ahead. A fine Lewis Smyth strike and a cool Lucas de Sousa finish put Town in a comfortable position at half-time. Eoin Naughten slotted home in the second half after a fine team move to cement the lead. It was his tenth of the season and Towns 36th in just eight games. Dunmore, to their credit, never gave up and reduced the deficit to two late on but Town had done enough.
Captain Ben Dolan had the honour of lifting the Cup for the Town. Well done lads! ?

Later that evening, the boys U18 side suffered an agonising loss to Glen Celtic in the U18 Shield Final. Town missed a number of chances in the first half before going behind. Leo Anic headed home an Enzo Bueno free kick to draw level. Town took the lead through Adam Hannon in extra time but Glen levelled soon after. In the final minute, Glen took the lead. There was still time however. In the dying seconds, Town hit the post. An incredible effort from a young Town side which just came up short.

On the Pitch ⚽️?
Two of our U14 sides were on the road on Monday. Atletico travelled to Dunmore while Real were in Ballymoe. Luiz Fellipe da Silva scored three for a young Real team but it wasn’t to be as Ballymoe scored a late penalty to claim a point. ⭐️ Star Player – Luiz Fellipe da Silva. Atletico were 3-1 down at one stage but a stirring renaissance saw them claim the three points.
